Covid positive lone parent and school absence

Does anyone have any info on this? LP and no-one who can take him into school. School have stated it will be an unauthorised absence. He is young and not keen on getting a taxi in. A bit annoyed with school to be honest because there's nothing I can do. No local schemes to get him into school.

Do you walk to school? Honestly, I would put a mask on, go early on before is too busy and take him. Keep a distance from others but we are a very few weeks away from all mitigations ending. If you are well enough in yourself, I'd just walk him.

Do you usually walk in?
If you are up to it I'd walk. There is almost zero chance of transmission in fresh air.

I'm a LP and if I get covid I may need to walk or drive my school refuser teen to school.

good news! I found a cab company that can take him :)
