Getting second vaccine ‘early’ after Covid

Hi
I’m trying to find out if there are any health risks involved in getting a second vaccine earlier than nhs advises, after recovery from Covid.

Specifically, 28 days after Covid for a 17yo and after 21 days after for a 19yo. It’s the latter that concerns me more for obvious reasons.

Obviously, they may or may not be actually allowed to have it but might try their luck at a drop in.

We’re trying to salvage a large family group holiday abroad but I’m only interested in discussing post health implications of getting the the vaccines ‘early’, plus experience of anyone who has done similar. (Yes, we know foreign travel isn’t essential!!)

John Campbell discussed this on a recent video.

@Buzzinwithbez that’s very helpful indeed, thank you. It looks like the health implications could be significant. Based on that video, it’s surprising that it’s only a 28 day wait after Covid for adults.

Please don’t lie to the vaccinators. Believe it or not, PCR results don’t show up on the Welsh Immunisation System so we have to take an individual’s works for it. The guidance is there for a reason and that’s all they’re working to.
Risks of adverse reactions are higher if the advised timescales aren’t adhered to.

I agree.... And some of the faces be pulls without being able to say it out right suggests he does too...
I'm so sorry that your holiday is in the balance with it all.

I had my booster just over the 28 day mark. They are quite strict about it. The lady wouldn't take my word it had been 28 days, she had to work it out for herself and double check - which I understand. I didn't really have any side effects after it (Moderna). Slight sore arm, slight headache and sore armpit for a short time couple days afterwards! Didn't feel ill once after.
