Anyone have a negative LFT followed by another positive

Between day 5 and day 10?

How could it test negative and then positive again the next day?

I'm wondering if they say 2 consecutive days to be on the safe side, or whether it's actually a thing.

My son had a negative, then positive the day after. He's negative again today and we will retest tomorrow. I'm not sure how it happens but I guess it does. My husband was still positive on day 11.

I had a positive and then 3 negative and then 2 positive on lateral flow test. Confirmed PCR positive.

DS was negative on day 6 and then positive again on day 7. I just got my first negative on day 9 so fingers crossed.
