DS1 had Covid in October and I got a nasty virusy bug at the same time, but kept testing negative. Now the same thing's happening again - DH and DS2 have Covid, very strong lines, and I've again got a yucky fluey virus simultaneously, but negative results the last four days and counting. Why would this be?? Just seems too coincidental and even though I know the tests can be a bit crappy, I'd have thought one might have showed +ve...

Just want to get Covid and get it out of the way now! Any ideas? Am unvaccinated btw.

@WorriedGiraffe you are right, name calling was unnecessary and lost me in any moral high ground.

So let's replace dick with obnoxious because it wasn't the suggestion of a PCR that was the issue with your post, it was the 'haven't bothered'. OP already said she felt rubbish.

@albertsquirrelnuts thank you. I did see that but it didn't seem applicable to me seeing as I could get to a postbox, it just wasn't much fun.

That’s still name calling. You feel I was rude to the OP, you are being rude to me, it’s just the way discussion forums work. We don’t all have to agree with each others way of wording/doing things.

My perspective is the OP has covid symptoms, and members of her household who have tested positive for covid, so she is required to do a PCR test, the implication is that she can get to a PCR test, because she hasn’t suggested she can’t, but she didn’t feel like going out so hasn’t bothered doing one. (Though she now has plans to do one, I’m not having another go at OP here, just making my point to you cos you) Yet is frustrated with potentially inaccurate lateral flow tests. I’m perfectly entitled to my way of seeing and wording things. So call me all the names you like, you’re still no better.

Dunno how the ‘cos you’ got in there.
