What if you are still testing positive on LFT on day 10

Apologies if this is a silly question or seems obvious, I'm completely confused!
DS was positive on a PCR test after having a temperature last week. He was only really unwell for a day, so no ongoing symptoms, but when we tested on day 6 and 7 he was still positive on LFT, so he's continued isolating. It's now day 10 and his LFT is still positive. Does he have to keep isolating? Can he go back to school on Monday? I don't want to put anyone at risk but I don't want him to miss more school if he doesn't need to. He's 6 so no vaccines yet, is that why it's taking so long?

He no longer has to isolate after day 10 unless he has a temperature and obviously if not feeling well, but other than that he can go back to school.

Nailed it!

You shouldn't have to keep the positive LFT to yourself, but do. People are nuts. He has done his time. He is a free man. I personally wouldn't take him to a retirement home but school is a needs must after 10 days isolation.

Thank you! That gives me something to look forward to Smile He's climbing the walls so can take him out to the park tomorrow too.

I wouldn't be testing on day 10! Any day up to that for early release, but day 10 is freedom day regardless.
