Had Covid in late Oct- taste and smell is sort of back sometimes (always gone by about tea time) It's much less strong but also things seem mixed up.
Here are some examples
I can't smell really strong things like bleach or coffee at all sometimes
I can't taste chocolate at all ever (gutting as I used to love it)
Sweet Fruity things (jam, jelly, trifle, bubble bath, handwash etc) all taste and smell vaguely of onion.
I barely eat any meat - chicken seems to taste the same but I had beef for the first time last week and it tasted and smelled so WEIRD - it was like a cross between earth and sort of sweet cabbage or like the smell coming out of a large bin on a hot day. The others who ate it said it just tasted normal and it wasn't off etc so I am thinking it's me. I spoke to a friend at work who had Covid pre vaccination and her taste is still strange- she said that red meat tastes like death smells to her (she used to be in the police so knows the smell)
So I'm wondering has anyone else had this? or understand the death smell thing? What does death smell like?
