Booster for vulnerable 12-15 year olds, anyone been invited yet?

DH is immunosuppressed and according to new advice from December, the DDs (12 and 14) should have a booster soon. GP claims he knows nothing about this.

Has anyone’s child been booked in yet or even had their booster?

I had a consent form from ds school yesterday. It's been exactly 12 weeks since his first dose.

Is that the same thing as the second dose?

My DCs whole secondary is being done next week, I think we had the consent from around the time they broke up last term

Just saw you put booster and not second dose

Angel2702 · 14/01/2022 13:30

Ours isn’t due until mid February. I have emailed my GP to ensure he is correctly identified and called when his booster is due and to ensure my daughter is identified correctly for the 5-11 vaccines when they start as it was a nightmare getting his first dose. Second dose I had to contact main vaccine coordinator for our area as GP didn’t sort it.

Thanks. Yes, to clarify - booster, as in third dose, for those eligible because they or family members are vulnerable.

We haven't heard about dd's booster yet despite it only being a week or so until she's eligible. I assume it will be as difficult to sort out as the first two but that it will happen before my younger dc gets their first.
