Proof of vaccine status for under 16s

Can anyone help? I tried to get the NHS app for DD (who is double jabbed) but it came up with a message saying to contact our GP.

Called the GP who said it's nothing to do with them and to call 119, but I'm sure I've seen people on here who've done it through the GP. Has anyone experienced this?
