Awful body aches with Omicron

I had a positive LF yesterday, I had a weird headache and I decided to test as I was due my booster today. ( I assume it is Omicron as I live in London)
Since then my headache has got worse and I have terrible body aches, especially around my back and back of my legs! It is agony and it's stopping me from sleeping, ibuprofen doesn't really work. Apart from this I have just a slight phlegmy feeling in my throat and a slight temperature. Does anyone have this? Do you have any tips/suggestions on how to make it better? Thank you

Yea I have this. But paracetamol and ibprofen both work for me. I take two pills at a time (max dosage). Obviously not combing it. I will take paracetamol a few times 6 hours apart and then ibprofen once. I follow the packet rules and try to space it out as much as possible. By 7 hours I feel like shit and need to take more. Sucks.

I tested positive on lateral flow yesterday too and I just knew it would be positive as I had such awful back ache starting the night before. Also my waist and arms and neck, the only thing that’s eased it slightly is a hot bath with olbas bubble bath in. It’s horrible isn’t it?

Thank you, I might try a bath now, anything to give me a break from this! I took ibuprofen but I might have left too much of a gap in between doses. I cannot remember having these pain in my body ever, it's awful

Hi my 2 boy's had leg pain with Covid. The back of their legs. I had the same in bed last night which made it hard to sleep, even my ankles hurt. Im testing negative still on the lateral flows but have done a pcr today.

aLittleL1fe · 12/01/2022 22:43

I had it in the first 3 days, now on day 8 and still have tiredness and cough but body aches no longer bother me.

Flamingos · 13/01/2022 10:23

Thank you for the replies, I still had awful pains all through the night, I got zero sleep, day 3 today, I'm hoping they will start to ease off!

I am unreliably informed that omicron is just like a cold.

Hope you feel better soon.

I've been wondering if the awful headaches Ive had coming and going for 2 and a half days are potentially Omnicron. Lft neg but just went for a pcr. Only other symptoms Ive had are back ache and mild aches and a sore eye a couple of days before.

Can't get warm either. Head is easing and I'm just tired now.

Could be a sinus thing I suppose.

HairyScaryMonster · 16/01/2022 22:53

Sore eye was randomly on the T&T check list @WarriorN... I was having headaches for a couple of days (but I get them all the time so thought nothing of it) before the sore throat prompted me to test.

Yumchips · 16/01/2022 23:18

I had awful body aches and I'm 20 weeks pregnant. I took paracetamol and it went away within 4 days. It's disorientating but it should ease up in a few days.
