Is your family boosted? Did you get covid

Is your family boosted? Did covid come into the family and spread?

Basically there's talk about scraping the close contact rules for people who are boosted. As in if you are boosted and you become a close contact, if you are without symptoms and have a negative antigen test, you don't need to isolate?

I don't know a lot of people but personally I know of two households where covid spread throughout the household. These are people who took the vaccines seriously and are up to date on the vaccines. One person was coughing up blood. Another person got a dose so mild it was like a cold.

I'm worried and apprehensive about the change in rules.

I had my booster 3 weeks ago, tested positive this morning. I’m not convinced the boosters make a blind bit of difference and will not be having any more jabs. I had covid pre-vaccines in 2020 and I am no less poorly this time.

Don't know anyone with more than a stuffy nose so far.

Not had Covid vaccines or boosted, had Covid twice in our household, both times fairly mild, one person once with slight breathing difficulties other than all been ok.

Yes, DH and I are both boosted and we both got covid but it wasn't worse for us than your average winter head cold.

Over Christmas with extended family inc. 3 small children, all adults triple jabbed and negative tested immediately before meeting up.

We had all tested positive by the end of the 28th Dec.

Out of the 8 adults, inc. one CEV, only one (not the CEV) had anything but very mild symptoms, the other had similar to a bad cold, felt rough for several days.

My own first sign was feeling very cold for one afternoon/evening, followed by feeling very tired for 2-3 days.

I’m boosted and in the clinically extremely vulnerable group and currently have covid. Thankfully I’m not at deaths door with it but I do feel quite unwell, like I have a very bad cold / flu.

Rest of household currently negative.
