Positive LFT, symptoms but not the top 3

Woken with headache, aches and sore throat and took LFT and it’s positive.
I know today is the first day of not taking a PCR if symptomless, but it only lists the top 3 on the website as a reason to get pcr (which I don’t have high temp, cough or taste).
I’m thinking still get pcr as I’ve got symptoms of covid (headache, sore throat, back is aching), but wondered if anyone has read anywhere about this glaring lack of clarity! Thanks

@BlibBlabBlob and @sheeplikessleep
Exactly! The website tells you you are not eligible!

Op you have omicron symptoms and are positive. You don't need any more info

Well this is odd.

I’ve inputted my lft result onto the website and got sent a code which I inputted in the app as directed. App has told me to book a pcr and isolate for 11 days

Plus isn’t the isolation advice wrong

Hah, they haven't updated the app. Useless.

sheeplikessleep · 11/01/2022 14:47

That added to my confusion Covidcorvid as I did the same. Anyway I’ve not booked pcr. Dh has as he has headache but negative lfts (if I’ve understood it all correctly!) 🙈

Have you logged the positive LFT?
Just curious as to what the gov website says.

When I had covid in August my first symptom was a persistant headache. LFT positive so I booked a PCR and ticked yes to symptoms - even though I didn't have the top 3.

I have and had conflicting advice. The govt nhs app told me to get a pcr and isolate for 11 days. I’ve since had an email telling me I have covid and to isolate for ten days. With a link to more isolating advice which said if I test on day 6 and 7 and get negative results I can stop isolating on day 7.

I’ve logged positive lft as well, and it’s showing on my NHS app but I’ve not received any emails.

On gov.uk it's still saying this (bold mine):

Anyone who develops 1 of the 3 main COVID-19 symptoms should stay at home and self-isolate and take a PCR test
