Due to start nursery tomorrow.

We’ve all taken two lateral flows and all negative.

Shortage of PCRs in our area.

He doesn’t have a temperature and isn’t particularly out of sorts.

If he has a snotty cough the nursery and other families will thank you for keeping him home. Just postpone his start date so he doesn't make other kids ill and then other families have to go through the hassle of testing.

You’ll just have to keep trying bookings PCR until then keep him off , welcome to world of sick kids and nursery Flowers

Nursery kids are always snotty and coughing. I would ask the nursery what they think you should do, unless you can and would prefer to keep him off.

I couldn't keep my son off for a week waiting for pcr Everytime he has a snotty nose , he literally would be off every other week. Nursery have always been happy to take him aslong as no temp.

Our nursery won't take children with a cough/temp unless they have a negative PCR.

I would ring them and see what they say. Ours are quite reasonable - if they clearly have a cold but are ok in themselves and just coughing a bit with the snot, they'll have them regardless. But if they have a fever, are sad and seem unwell or are coughing a lot, they do ask for a test.
