My 3 and 5 year olds have had high temp and dirhhea since the weekend. I called the school to inform them they would be absent to be told it’s the first symptom of the new variant of covid in children and to order tests as they are full of covid atm and looking at closing, has anyones children had covid and their only symptom be dirhhea?

I’m an adult and I’m pretty sure that was my first symptom with a sore throat following days later.
I only tested once I had a sore throat but am convinced that the diarrhea was COVID as a few other friends had the same experience and had a positive COVID test.

It's not the only symptom though. They have high temp. That's a symptom and has been right from the start, so you should be testing them anyway.

High temperature has always been one of the three symptoms which require you to isolate and test. Surely you know this.

They need a PCR test as have one of the three main symptoms, temperature.
