DS (16) had vaccine 1 at the end of August, done at a local vaccine hub. He caught COVID a couple of weeks later, so had to wait until December for his second jab.
When he arrived, they just said “ This is your first jab?” He said, no and showed them his record card. There was some confusion and they even thought that they might not be able to do his vaccination as he “might be lying” about having had the first one.
However, he stuck to his guns and they agreed to give him the vaccination and told him to ring the GP to get the first one added to his record.
GP have said it’s not that simple. He has sent a copy of his card as they asked and talked it through with them. Still no sign of it on his record.
Has anyone else had this issue and managed to resolve it? We are due to travel next month (booked when we were all feeling wretched with COVID) and Spain won’t accept his certificate of recovery, requiring proof of both vaccinations (card not accepted). I have about a week if I need to change the holiday.
Thank you in advance for any advice.
