Morning mumsnetters

I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced positive lft but neg pcr results? My husband and dc received pos lft and pcr. Would I be best continuing to isolate or would I need to take another pcr in a few days ?

Symptoms starred on Thursday I had a faint pos, then neg and now continual pos lft with different brands.

That’s a really clear positive line, so would assume you definitely have covid, you could try and get another PCR booked, but after tomorrow it won’t be needed and you are to assume you have covid from a positive LFT and to isolate. This is UK rules

You are positive.

What is your workplace policy? Ours is lft = WFH but obviously it may not be that easy for you!

I would treat as a positive and isolate.

New rules state if you have positive LFT and are symptomatic you should have a PCR. No need for PCR if you have positive LFT but asymptomatic.

What's your workplaces rules? Tbh I think you have it and they'd be stupid to insist you come in.

Should have also said, you do have Covid and should follow the rules re self isolation etc. It is possible to have Covid and have a positive LFT and a negative PCR. Eventually you would get a positive PCR. Testing positive on a LFT is when you are most infectious
