Both me and my DS (2) have a cough, I also feel pretty rotten this morning so I have booked us both in for a PCR test first thing this morning. Lfts for both of us are negative.

However I also have a DD (4) who is due back to school tomorrow, she is showing no symptoms at all, do I still need to get her tested or is it only if she develops symptoms, as obviously me and DS don't actually know if we are positive yet or not. Same applies for DH really as he also has no symptoms

If they have no symptoms a Lateral Flow Test per day is enough.
PCRs are for symptoms.

Thank you, I thought that was the case but just wanted to check!

Guidance says no need for a lft if they're under 5. Same situation for me.
