Positive and no symptoms, will it stay this way?

Both my kids are positive with no symptoms. My son felt a little warm and was tired one evening Jan 2...but was with my DH away and he did not check his temperature and did not test him. I decided to test both of my kids today on a whim and both to my great surprise are positive. My dh and I are negative. If they test positive and have no symptoms, will the symptoms show up later? Or can it really be they have no symptoms at all?

My DS had no symptoms apart from a bit of a raised temperature. Asymptomatic is common.

Okay, I hope it stays this way! I also hope my DH and I manage to avoid it all together (Along with our two year old...but I feel that is impossible since they tend to catch everything).

My fifteen yr old has had covid twice first time he had a sore throat and was sick in the first 48 hrs absolutely fine within 48 hrs
He tested positive again a few days before Xmas only symptoms were a scratchy throat for a couple of days most kids have few or no symptoms.
