Test and trace telling me to isolate as close contact??

Child has covid. Test and trace sent link for me to fill out - had to list everyone who lives in house. Now sent us all emails saying we have to self isolate unless exempt?!
Does exempt mean double vaxxed or under 18, as I understood we could LFT every day and carry on as usual if negative?

You can only LTF every day IF under 18 or double vaxxed

Correct, you don't have to self isolate if you are under 18 or fully vaccinated.

ah, my DH got that message when our DD had it, while I got one with the advice that I didn't have to. He had to click on a link that I think was on the text? And fill out a form, and then it was all ok, he didn't have to isolate. I asked on here at the time (it was just before Christmas) and lots of others had been through the same.

Does anyone know if you were isolating because of a positive test and the day your isolation ended someone else in the household tests positive do you have to start isolating again?

@WishIwasElsa. If it’s the same day as you are still in isolation, then no, you don’t have to isolate, but a day later and unvaccinated, then yes you start another isolation period.

WishIwasElsa · 06/01/2022 16:55

That's madness as they would have caught it from the household anyway 🙄
