How long did you have to wait for PCR test results.?

Was showing symptoms over the weekend - runny nose, cough and sore throat. Managed to order a LFT that I took on Monday, tested positive, But today I feel fine.

Ordered PCR that came today and has been sent back in the post - it says 24 hours tracked. I've heard stories that people are having to wait over a week for the results.

What are the chances they PCR will come back positive?
Has anyone else had this and what was your PCR result?
How long did you have to wait for the results?

Sorry for the many questions - I lost one elderly family member last year and naturally am anxious about this whole mess now I could potentially have it.

I sent mine on Monday and got result back on Tuesday. DH sent his yesterday and nothing yet.

Walk through for 3 of us 1pm sunday got the results exactly 1pm Monday

Any people that posted Tuesday had a result yet? Still haven't here but had a reminder via email to post it 🙄 Think I'll have to ring 119. I didn't write done the barcode to track it

Postal- 4 days. Drive thru- 18 hrs and 24 hrs.

Did a postal before Christmas which took 4/5 days. Drive through Thursday and results back in 12 hours

We posted 2 on Monday and still haven't heard (Thurs afternoon).
UPDATE: Rang 119 today (Saturday) to chase. You can only ring on sixth day - counting the day you did test as day 1. 119 do some chasing for you. We then got one result emailed, but still await the other. Which, of course is the one that matters the most...

If you went to a drive-in site on a Friday, did you get results on the weekend?
