Waiting for PCR result but now I'm not showing symptoms anymore

Was showing symptoms over the weekend - runny nose, cough and sore throat. Managed to order a LFT that I took on Monday, tested positive. Ordered PCR that came today and has been sent back in the post. But today I feel fine.

What are the chances they PCR will come back positive?

Fairly high, but going by new rules today, you still need to isolate until days 6 & 7 and do LFT to be released from isolation.

I had covid over Christmas. Literally was just 24 hours of symptoms and a positive lft. By the time the postal pcr arrived I felt totally fine. It was positive of course.

Very likely given positive lft. My partners symptoms were similar and only lasted a day or two. Very short lived.
