How many days before Track & Trace called?

DD took a PCR test on new year's day. We got the positive result by email/text on Sunday (2nd Jan). So far, track and trace still haven't called. Does it matter? We're trying to figure out when they count day 1 from (first day of symptoms, or day after? Only symptom was 2 days of a mild sore throat) to work out when she can go back to school. Today's LFT was negative.

Thanks everyone. I'm thinking Thursday she should be free then.

@CrystalTits, definitely Track & Trace (not test & trace) who called last time. I checked my call history for the last time they contacted me. I have always wondered the difference between the two.

We checked back on the text she received. It just had a link to the gov.co.uk website page with information about isolating.

Make sure she does a lateral flow test rusty and tomorrow - without the negative LFs I think she has to isolate until Sunday?

First day of symptoms is Day 0, so she needs to isolate until the end of Saturday. She can do lateral flows from today and once she has two days negative in a row then she can end her isolation the following day, if that's earlier than the end of Saturday.

It’s definitely NHS Test & Trace on that number @Thisismynewname123, but it looks like your phone service provider has set the caller name incorrectly. There’s no NHS Track & Trace.

Sorry if I came across as a bit dickish. Just one of my bugbears! Hope DD can get back to school soon.
