I'm in my 50s and triple jabbed. I tested positive for covid (supposing it's this new variant on the block since they're saying 90% of community transmissions now are) five days ago. Still no abatement of heavy cold symptoms now morphing into a productive bronchitis-like cough. My son and his GF threw it off in two days. Anyone else struggling with this? My symptoms initially were headache sore throat fatigue and body aches. Now just super fatigued and new productive cough. Interested to hear of anyone else's experience...

Cough lasted about 10 days, mild though.

I tested + on Thursday and I only felt ill for 2 days. I'm ok now tbh. Haven't had pcr back yet. Apart from feeling a bit dizzy/tired and achy I'm ok. I would be ok to work I'm sure.

My friend caught omicron a few weeks ago. She's double jabbed. She was mildly ill for 5 days and tested negative again quickly.

Today is the first day I have felt better after positive on 23rd Dec.

Vapeyvapevape · 03/01/2022 01:26

I’ve had a couple of faint positive lft’s but neg pcr , but have had a headache for nearly 2 weeks, muscle pain , light headed , zero energy, sneezing loads and generally feel awful .

PeachesandCream2020 · 03/01/2022 02:44

I’m on day 5, the headache is the worst , like no headache I’ve ever had, just on the left side. No painkillers will shift it. Feels like a burning in my head.
Also got a cough but not persistent and back pain.

I tested positive on Christmas Day, so day 10 now and still feel awful. Tested negative yesterday but this awful cold, headache, blocked sinuses can bloody do one now. I can’t breath through my nose. The brain fog and confusion was really weird too. I had zero coordination, kept falling over and fine motor skills disappeared. So weird. Hope you feel better soon.

usingitallup · 03/01/2022 05:59

Tested positive on Boxing Day, triple jabbed but also heavily pregnant. Symptoms came on very fast, body aches initially for 24hours, then sore head and temperature, then blocked nose and cough (no sore throat) I'm only over the worst of it now still have a dry cough and zero energy.

DrivingHomeChristmas · 03/01/2022 06:32

Tested positive on boxing day. I feel better every day but still have awful cough and terrible fatigue, as do husband and 19 yr old. Other kids got better after 2-3 days. All fully jabbed.

Heathway · 03/01/2022 21:27

Doubled jabbed and took a good 2.5 weeks to finally feel semi normal!

Productive cough from around day 4, fever, fatigue and body ache- oh, and complete loss of smell which has no sign of returning still.

Fedupppppppp · 03/01/2022 21:56

First symptoms appeared nearly two weeks ago and still suffering from a bad cold, with a very runny nose and fever on and off. It sounds like it will never end.
I’m double jabbed, was booked to have my booster this week but now have to postpone it.

hamstersarse · 03/01/2022 22:00

I’m on day 7. Have no symptoms now but still tested positive today

Looking forward to work tomorrow (wfh) as I’m so bloody bored

LubaLuca · 03/01/2022 22:05

I'm triple jabbed, about the same age as you op - tested positive yesterday but sore throat started on Saturday (which is what prompted me to do the first LFT then). I'm feeling worse this evening, headache and leg pain, tickly cough and sneezing which aggravates the headache! I've come up to bed with the electric blanket on full to try to ease the aches a bit.

I thought I'd managed to dodge it, getting all the jabs and being careful. Bloody bad luck, but I imagine I'd have been in a much worse state without the vaccines.

advice @lightnesspixie .Sorry to hear that you have been tested positive .I would advice go to your nearest hospital where they are taking covid patients .You would be shifted to isolation room or covid ward with other patients and an out of hours Gp might see you there .You might need antibiotics for your very bad cough .Dont let it develop .I am tripple jabbed ,tested positive.
