Did anyone else feel worse the week after they had Covid?

My symptoms (mild cold) started on 22nd but didn’t pick up on a lateral flow until 25th, confirmed by PCR on 25th. Had a mild to moderate cold and mild headaches, pre pandemic it was easily something I’d have worked through and carried on normal life, I’ve had worse colds this year.

However I’m now out of isolation but I feel terrible, my glands are still sore intermittently and I feel so tired and lethargic. Much more so than I did this time last week. I also keep getting very fleeting tingly feelings in my hand and feet and every minor ailment I usually have (bad upper back, wisdom teeth pain) seems amplified. I had a similar experience to what I’m feeling now after both vaccines and it took about 10 days each time to pass, I’m hoping this too also passes and I feel really rubbish. It also could be that I’ve been up and out after a long time of doing very little.

Yes!

Felt terrible for a good four weeks despite the mild illness, but suddenly got better. Rest and sleep are your friends - you'll get there 🙂

I am on day 20 and still feel dreadful, just differently dreadful to the first two weeks. I have a terrible headache around the clock, night sweats now which I didn't have when I had Covid. I think it can take weeks to recover for some of us, if not months.

I was off work for 3 weeks. What stopped me going back to work after the 10 days was up was struggling to breathe, and that didn't start until day 7.

Yes! I actually went back to work after day ten and then regressed and felt worse than I had in the first place.
