Covid Symptoms Tripple Jabbed

Hello,

Yes another covid thread! Appreciate any comments.

Just curious really about other experiences. I've avoided covid so far, 41 reasonably healthy and all the jabs. Last jab was end of November.

New years day I started with what felt like a tickle or slight wheeze, thought not a lot of it as new years eve was fairly late and probably a wine too far. Last night woke sweating in the night and chest felt very tight. Today I feel grim. Achey and tired, sore ears, irritating cough. LFT negative but I've had a PCR just now as there was a walk in going. I may not have bothered but this is the first time in 2 years I've had both a cough and a temp. I never ever get coughs.

So no clue what to expect just another virus or is this it. I feel dreadful which makes me wonder. Nobody else has any symptoms in the house but we've had a fair few guests this last week or so.

Also how long are people finding it takes results to come back?

This is me. Positive LFT this morning, waiting for PCR result. I feel hot and cold, I have a tickly cough and tightness around the throat (difficult to describe, it feels a bit constricted but no trouble breathing, it's like a tense feeling Confused).

They said at the test centre it could take 'a few days' for the result to arrive.

Mum2boys01 · 02/01/2022 14:18

Interesting your LFT came up positive though, sounds more likely you have it. Both my LFT yesterday when it started and today negative. Not a hint of a line.

I absolutely get what you mean about constricted throat though. That's how I feel. I've felt worse for sure but the cough, wheezy tightness is very unusual for me anyway

The LFT was negative yesterday when I felt just the same.

Dh has had a snotty nose, scratchy throat and mild headache. He got a positive LFT on Wednesday and positive PCR came today for his test taken on Thursday. The rest of us got tested on Thursday too and we were all negative

Do any of the rest of you have symptoms yet?

No we haven't
The kids have been keeping out the way most of the time; they are teens so they hang about on consoles/computer in separate rooms

I have still been in the same bed/same room as dh but have been OK so far. Might do an LFT later just to see if anything is developing yet

I've heard that you should ideally swab the throat as well as the nose even if your LFT is a nose-only test. There have been quite a few instances of people testing negative on nose-only and then positive immediately on a throat swab test.

My symptoms (none of them the big three) started with the glands in my neck swelling one evening and staying swollen all night.

Since then I have had horrendous fatigue, slightly achy legs, feeling a bit spaced out, a temperature spike for about an hour which I happened to catch by accident (it wasn't to fever levels, only high). I've had vicious night sweats a couple of nights, a scratchy throat for a couple of days and a bit of chest phlegm but no cough as such.

The main constant has been the fatigue, which is exactly the same as the fatigue I got after the first AZ jab.

I've had positive LFTs but no chance of a PCR so I am just following the isolation protocol. Don't even care that I'm stuck indoors as the fatigue is grim and I have no desire to do anything.

I'm in my early 50s, fully vaccinated and boosted end Nov.

That's interesting about the throat swab. I'll give that a go tomorrow. I don't expect my results back quick. I'm doing nothing as I don't feel well enough anyway.

I was a mess after my AZ jabs both times

I did an old style nose and throat test earlier but still coming up negative but then I dont have symptoms and they are more reliable when you do have symptoms

butterpuffed · 02/01/2022 17:37

I had a positive LF test and sent off for a home PCR test [don't drive and couldn't use public transport] . Positive.

I'm triple jabbed and 69 , diabetic. All I had was a slight temperature, very runny nose and could not stop sneezing, very slight sore throat . I wasn't told if it was Omicron but think it must have been going by the symptoms, which lasted a week.

I had to isolate for 10 days as 6th and 7th day LFTs were still positive.
Today was my first day of freedom !!

Mum2boys01 · 03/01/2022 09:10

Hooray for freedom.

No results yet. Another awful night of a very high temp and hacking cough. Whatever it is I don't want to be spreading around anyway so I'm isolating

I tested positive on a lateral flow test on Friday. (since confirmed by PCR)
The test line appeared before the control line so I suspect I'd had it for a couple of days

The only symptoms I had were a slight tickly nose and throat on Friday. Even slighter on Saturday, but that's it. In the olden days I wouldn't have batted an eyelid.
I now feel fine and am fed up with sitting in the bedroom so as not to give it to anyone else in the house.

Onegingerhead · 03/01/2022 10:44

Fully jabbed not boosted (not eligible yet). Had delta in August, v. mild.
Tickly throat last Thurs, cough developed NYE. Fricking cough all the weekend. Multiple negative LFT, did nose/tonsils, still very neg.
Muffled smell this morning, can smell about 30% of my perfume (if that makes sense)
managed to get to drive thru PCR not too far from home. Waiting for results.
I also checked for the antibodies about 10 days ago, it was bleaching the assay (>2500 AU) Grin

Mum2boys01 · 03/01/2022 11:23

I'm supposed to be back at work tomorrow, albeit working from home. No chance. Tested the whole family this morning all negative

My DH has it, symptoms started on Saturday night and did PCR at 8.30 on Sunday. Results back by 6am today. He’s got a sore throat and cough, chills, aching joints and is triple jabbed. Just looks like a flu at the moment.

Were his results positive? They were quick!!!

All four of our family tested positive over the past 10 days and we all started with a scratchy throat and headache. For me it took 2 days before I had a positive LF test. I’m also triple vaccinated, as is my husband. And it’s the second time my daughter has had it in 12 weeks.

Mum2boys01 · 03/01/2022 15:53

I've definitely got worse. My temp will not stay down. Lateral flow today was negative. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Mum2boys01 · 03/01/2022 19:18

My PCR just came back negative. I'm still isolating whilst I have symptoms though
