Those of you who have had covid more than once?

Please can you tell me the length of time between infections? Especially if your most recent was confirmed as Omicron?

Me, DH and DD all had it end of oct/start of November. Me and DH now double jabbered and boostered but DD is only 12 so can't have her jab until 12 weeks after infection which will be February.

DH is worrying me as he works in retail and has just text me to say 8 colleagues have been sent home this morning after positive LFT's. DD is back to school next week too.

I was never told which variant I got.

First covid infection was January 2021 and my second and hopefully last December 2021.

I live in London and my second infection was relatively mild compared to the first infection. Everyone tested positive in my house few weeks ago and two ds escaped it January 2021.

I tested positive on 16th November, and had a rough time with it. I assume it was delta variant, i had all the symptoms.. no smell/taste, coughing, breathless, flu-ey, achey and nausea.
DH didn't get it then but he was positive on 29th December. I tested positive again today 😩 Symptoms a lot milder this time.. achey, alternating from cold to sweaty, and a bit bunged up.
PCR booked tomorrow.

@girlsyearapart it was just over 90 days, so I suppose she had Delta originally and Omicron the second time. However, she’d tested negative on an LFT one day, positive on an LFT and PCR the next day, then negative on LFT’s for every day after that. So who knows, it was all very odd…

My son has just caught it a second time. First one was 23 November, so it was only about 5.5 weeks between infections

My son just had it 2nd time. 1st was Start of October half term, 2nd been over Xmas. House of 5. Only one in house who got it in October we all got it this time.

My sister March 2020, as did me and the rest of my family get it.

My sister now has it again Dec 2021/Jan 2022

Thanks so much for all the responses. I (probably stupidly) was hoping we would escape it but it's not looking likely!

There's another 13 staff at DHs work been sent home after positive LFT today.

Why the hell they aren't testing at home before going in to work is beyond me!!!

Daughter tested positive 12th November, no symptoms at all, only found due to positive lateral flow. Tested positive again 1st January, tested due to having symptoms. She's been pretty poorly this time around.

Daughter tested positive early October. She just had cold symptoms. She tested positive again 27 December, and felt much more unwell this time round. Scratchy throat, fever, nasty headache. She also infected me and my husband (both boosted).

I had my first and second jabs in Feb & May 2021. I got covid in July 2021. No idea what variant it was. I was ill with flu-like symptoms for 10 days, then fully recovered.

I had my third jab in November. I’ve just tested positive on a lateral flow (early this morning) and awaiting a PCR to confirm. No symptoms before testing, although have just started sneezing.

We all had it end Oct. Me and DH double jabbed at the time, now boostered too.

DCs weren't able to get vaccine as it was offered whilst they were positive, so were waiting till end Jan (after the 3 months). DS then had another positive test over Christmas, so 2 months after last time. Only 1 lft positive, next day negative but he had a positive pcr(although that could still be from last infection), so he now can't have his first vaccine till the end of March. What a farce.

The rest of us remained negative on lfts and didn't even slightly keep away from him.

Tbh I don't see the point in him ever getting the vaccine now. He's had covid twice apparently, barely able to tell both times. The only reason for him to have it would be for holidays aboard, which annoys me immensely.

I had it in mid-October. I’ve just been for a PCR as there was a very feint line on LF test this morning. I think I’m fine (no symptoms) but, if PCR positive, how do you know if it’s picking up old infection? I’m nearly at 90 days, and have also had lots of negative LFs (I have to test twice weekly for work) and a negative PCR a week ago as I was a close contact. This makes me think that a positive PCR now must be a new infection?

My sister has had it 5 weeks apart. First time asymptomatic. This time symptomatic. Presumably delta then omicron. Caught from school aged child each time.

DS had it without many symptoms at all in early November. Me, DH and DD didn't get it then, despite not really isolating him. We all tested positive on NYE with various cold symptoms after having close contact with a family member who tested positive. DS has so far remained negative. I thought (hoped) he might have some immunity but reading this now has made me wonder.

Am I misunderstanding the rules ? We were told the kids cannot take any lft or pcr tests for 90 days after their positive pcr ??
