How long are results currently taking for PCRs?

Had one at 10:30am today - just wondering when I might get the result, I know it could be delayed due to NY&bank hols :)

I think it's taking a while. Although just ur luck I think. I'm still waiting from over 2 days ago for me and dd. We'll be out of isolation by time I get results I think 😂

Friend got all her family tested the same day as me at different centre, her husband came bk positive yesterday but they all still waiting. Her parents also got tested and day and got results bk next day. Least they know they have to isolate anyway. Starting to think mine r lost!

I don't think I've got it, had cold for a week now but lost taste other day but only for 24hrs and it came bk. so thinking I'm probably negative 🤞🏻

Do you have not do a test for 90 days after having covid ?
My employer said not to go lft , but they are now sending texts asking me to do one ?
Have the rules changed ? People can test on day six and seven now , so that has changed since November etc.
Sorry to derail this thread !!

DD and I have had our results (from Friday) this morning. She is positive, I'm negative. Ds' we are assuming is lost so we are just following the protocol as if he was confirmed positive.

The80s , it is the PCR test you shouldn't have within 3 months of a positive as the inactive virus fragments can be present for that long but wouldn't be picked up by LFT hence the current testing advice

Just been told by my employer (by text ) that I do have to test ( lateral flow) ! New rules they said.
It's been over a month since I tested +

The rules changing like this might start to confuse people a bit ?
I guess that testing on day six and seven has also changed too , so I wasn't surprised they said this , but it is but another change.

Same in our house. Dh positive, the rest of us negative.....so far

Think it probably varies throughout the country. DH had a test at 11 on Friday & got results at 8pm yesterday. Me & DDs went to a different test centre ( due to DH having a positive test & the rest of us negative we booked separately so we didn’t have to travel in the car with him & also availability) had our tests at 3pm & no results yet. We’re in Scotland so regardless of mine & DDs results we’re all sentenced to 10 days isolation due to DH being positive ☹️

Tests were 3pm on Friday not today!
