We spent 3 days with a close relative over Christmas who had unknowingly been a close contact of a positive case. I'm annoyed that the positive person didn't do a lateral flow before our vulnerable family member spent hours with them but it's done now. I'm CEV and have been very careful throughout and never go anywhere inside or on transport without a mask. We are triple jabbed and my third was in October or November.I've had my flu vaccine too. I live been doing lateral flow tests as I care for a very vulnerable gentleman and also for my piece of mind. All negative. A few days ago I started with a sore throat. It quickly went but is back the last couple of days and this morning my temperature is slightly up. I have a headache and stuffy nose and feel a little unwell beyond my usual not feeling great due to chronic conditions. No cough or sneeze or aches. I might not be able to get a PCR but if I can should I? I'm isolating anyway with no plans until Tuesday and I'm happy to isolate anyway as I'm antisocial autistic Grin

Yes you need a PCR

Yep, PCR. Good luck with getting one though,

I can't remember where I've put it in the pre-Christmas hide things in cupboards tidy up but I was randomly sent a postal PCR as I might be eligible for new treatments if I test positive. Dd tested positive on her second PCR a few months ago. The first one on the Friday was negative despite symptoms and it was only the repeat one that picked it up.

Your temperature is up so that mean you should do a test.

Even without the temperature, it would be a good idea

The government really need to update their measly 3 symptoms list.

We've all had covid. Not one of us had a fever or a 'continuous' cough. Me and dp did lose smell & taste but not for a few days after testing positive. It was more like a cold for us.
