Post-covid weird nose sensation..anyone else?

I had covid in October fairly mildly and lost sense of smell for about a week. Since then, every couple of weeks I get this odd sensation in my nose that reminds me of having covid- sort of like a mild shampoo up the nose feeling! Anyone else get this? It last a day or so each time.

Obviously I do appreciate I’ve got off lightly with nothing that I would describe as actual long covid symptoms. It keeps making me worry slightly that I’ve caught covid again however!

I had Covid last January and lost my sense of smell for a few days. A fizzing sensation in my nose was also one of my (many) symptoms. I was unlucky and caught it before I was eligible for my first vaccine.

The weird sensation in my nose carried on, on and off for about 6 months I think. I also found cold air just so incredibly cold to breathe in through my nose. I wore my mask outside to warm the air up a bit.

It's been almost 12 months since I tested positive and your post has made me realise I haven't had the fizzing nose for a while now and haven't struggled with cold air.

Hopefully, if you're vaccinated, it will help you get over the strange nose feeling a bit quicker.

DD had Covid in Sept and keeps complaining of a smokey taste/feeling up her nose.

I keep smelling food as being off, like gas smell....it tastes like that too, I have a bowl of doritos next to me but they smell and taste like gas so I can't eat them...my son had similar,

Oh yes the odd whiff of smoke, poo Sad and gas still lingers. I nearly called out a plumber to look at my boiler the other week because I thought I kept getting a whiff of gas from it. Turns out it was just me smelling it.

Some people are having the weird smells long after they have recovered.
I still get the log fire smell !
It is weird.

Had it in June, still have weird smell and strange pressure in my sinuses

Glad it’s not just me but sorry for you all, I’ve actually gotten off extremely lightly here! @Lindy2 yours sounds the closest to what’s going on with mine, it’s not really a smell, more an odd feeling that now you come to mention it I can imagine would be worse in the cold! And it’s sort of at the top end of my nose.

Ah well, I’m fully jabbed and boosted and counting my blessings.

Yeh, I had it in Sept. Lost smell/taste. For two weeks or so after, I suffered sinus issues.
Now and then, I get that sinus, water up the nose, sensation.
