Was anyone here exposed to covid but didn't get it?

I spent a while yesterday with my partner. I spent more time with him today. I was in an enclosed space with no open windows and no masks. He wasn't coughing or sneezing.

Just this evening he came down with the sniffles. That's what he's saying. Antigen test gave him back a negative. The virus is so rampant it's hard to get a pcr now.

I can only presume it's covid now. The next day or two will tell if his symptoms progresses. If his symptoms progresses I will take it as a suspected covid and then I will be a close contact of a suspected covid case.

Just wondering if anyone here was exposed to covid and didn't get symptoms of sickness?

also it absolutely could be a cold or other virus. There are lots about in fact dd2 has one now with more symptoms than she had with covid. Daft to assume with the symptoms you describe

Yeah I have. Twice.

First time my whole office tested positive. Apart from me.

I was at my friends house Christmas Eve and worked with her all day Boxing Day ( in close proximity) she tested positive on a lft on Boxing Day and positive on a pcr the day after. I'm still testing negative.

My dh had it last month. The other three people in our house didn't get it.

Since then, I've been convinced that both my children have had it as had cold symptoms. Negative lateral flows and PCRs though, so another virus.

Op the common cold still exists too Hmm

My daughter had it and stayed with me for 2 days until my pcr showed negative (I was double vaccinated at the time) and her dads showed positive ( we separated and he is an anti vaxxer). So she went to stay at his. He was really ill, I didn't catch it.

My husband had it in October and I didn't get it, he didn't isolate from me within the house at all (didn't leave the house obviously). At that point I'd had 2 jabs, now had booster.

I have however in the last month had a sickness bug, a cold, (bad-pus-covered) tonsillitis, a dry cough for 3 weeks which is still going and now I've got another cold and one tonsil has swollen up. So my immunity is crap right now, I don't normally get ill like this back to back beyond persistent dry coughs in the winter.
