90% of intensive care haven't had boosters...

Up to 90 per cent of intensive care Covid patients have not had boosters, says Boris Johnson

So is he also admitting 90% are double jabbed?

Whilst admitting that 10% are triple jabbed

Those darned figures

OP posts:
PurpleDaisies · 30/12/2021 15:12

Has he actually provided a source for those figure yet?

2022beesknees · 30/12/2021 15:14

Were those people admitted to intensive care because of Covid or because of something else?

StarryNightSky26 · 30/12/2021 15:15

This time next year the figures will probably say 90% in ICU haven't yet had booster 3.

lightnesspixie · 30/12/2021 15:16
Hmm
JuergenSchwarzwald · 30/12/2021 15:17

He goes on as if everyone has had the chance to have a booster. I am in my late 40s and only had mine last week. DH only had his the weekend before and he is in his late 50s. Some areas were way behind others.

But my 19 year old son got his last week too as a walk-in once the queues died down.

Porfre · 30/12/2021 15:17

We need clarity.

Does he really mean people who are double jabbed are making up 90% of the ICu admissions?
Also is this only the covid related admissions or any?

TheWayTheLightFalls · 30/12/2021 15:21

I’m trying my hardest but the way this has been presented is ostentatiously vague and open to interpretation.

Back2front · 30/12/2021 15:39

It's massively open to interpretation and deliberately vague. It could mean 90% are unvaccinated (as they would also be unboostered).

Northsoutheastwest76 · 30/12/2021 15:41

Latest ICNAR data shows 48% unvaccinated.

Northsoutheastwest76 · 30/12/2021 15:42

For COVID admissions

samwitwicky · 30/12/2021 15:44

'says Boris Johnson' says it all

2022beesknees · 30/12/2021 15:45

@Northsoutheastwest76

Latest ICNAR data shows 48% unvaccinated.
So 52% of Covid admissions have been vaccinated, but just not boosted?!?
Waxonwaxoff0 · 30/12/2021 15:48

I want to know how many have had 2 jabs and how many have had 0 jabs. "Not been boostered" could mean anything.

Northsoutheastwest76 · 30/12/2021 16:57

@2022beesknees I think the data was just fir single and double vaccinated as data only went up to November I think

Northsoutheastwest76 · 30/12/2021 17:07

I like this chart

@vickyc90 interesting and what I expected. The 2 people I know who were hospitalized with Covid were both unvaccinated males.

gorseinon · 30/12/2021 17:22

Even if Mr Johnson's figure is correct, unfortunately it is not going to persuade anyone given his industrial scale lying.

BogRollBOGOF · 30/12/2021 17:30

A large proportion of younger people (u40) have only had a 3 week window in which to access boosters, so it's hardly surprising that most in ICU haven't even had the chance for a booster before ending up there.

I thought I was doing pretty well to get Covid roughly two weeks after the booster Grin (mild cold, not the worst I've had this year so hopefully that's the booster effect and no ICU risk factors anyway)

Youarefakenews · 30/12/2021 17:33

Well as the decision to offer boosters was only made at the start of December, it can hardly be surprising that a great many people have not had it.
