@Troublesometooth why do people do that? In Scotland you do have to isolate if you're a close contact. There were no PCR slots available this morning but an hour or two later there were plenty. But why jump in and say something when you're wrong?
Do what? Assume someone who posts on a UK forum and says they are in the UK is from England?

Because there are 68million people in the UK, 55 million of them are in England. There is therefore an 80% chance of me being right.

I did clarity afterwards that I had made the assumption they were following English advice.

thanks for all the help

I have checked back since and they just released test for tomorrow locally, so have managed to book dd in for test at lunch time

I would have probably left it till tomorrow if a pp hadn't said that they release them in the afternoon

so thanks for that tip and the library tip - hadn't thought of libraries having tests

@troublesometooth you even specifically said

If you are UK there is no obligation to isolate unless you have symptoms

If you're a person who's confused about which country they live in, maybe don't rush to comment.

PCR test done yesterday and waiting results

I’m still at this point testing negative, but hesitant to go out as really not keen on spreading it unwittingly
