Both positive with 3 month old in the house

Both DP and I have tested positive for covid. Feeling like we have flu/cold like symptoms but not too bad.

We have a 3 month old so obviously we can't really stay away from him.
What are the chances of him catching it and becoming ill?
We are being sure to wash hands and sanitise as much as poss, and also open windows to air out the house whilst trying to also keep the house warm!
Any tips to keep him as safe as possible?

You are doing everything right op. Is he breastfed? Did you have the vaccine during the pregnancy or breastfeeding? At the end of the day, there is nothing you can do but wait and see. I have cared for several newborns (less than 10 days old) with covid and all had extremely mild symptoms (if any). Babies are resilient wee things! Try and not panic Flowers

Thanks for your reply :)

He is formula fed!
Hopefully all will be okay and if he does get it then symptoms are mild .

I don't know if it's worth trying to do an LFD test on him??

I know an elderly lady who tested positive. Her breathing was ok so she wore a mask at all times and they kept on top of hand washing/cleaning surfaces - they didn't distance as elderly and help eachother, but her DH didn't catch it, so if your little one isn't bothered by you wearing masks, that might be worth doing.

Hope you don't feel too bad.
