I'm on day 9. Hoping that they'll return soon.

Hmm can't remember when taste returned, but bad smells have still not come back for me! I had Covid in August, very mildly. I can smell nice smells, so I guess it's not such a bad thing. I have house cats and I can't tell anymore when they've used the litter tray!

Saw my cousin on Boxing Day, he had covid in September and some things he still cannot taste or smell. He really enjoyed parsnips on Xmas Day, he said they were really tasty, but couldn’t taste anything else.

I had covid in march, only lost smell. It’s still not back 😞

lilacmoon78 · 28/12/2021 14:29

i lost my taste and smell for about 3-4 days and then they gradually came back over the course of about a week. after that it was totally back to normal

YesItsMeIDontCare · 28/12/2021 14:30

6 - 7 months. Sorry 😣

wendz86 · 28/12/2021 14:31

I only lost mine for about 3 days between about days 3-5 .

SheWolfOFFrancee · 28/12/2021 14:32

4 months for mine to slightly come back and now everything smells sickly sweet or rotten. Wish it was still gone

YesItsMeIDontCare · 28/12/2021 14:33

Posted too soon!

Weirdly, taste came back a good few months before smell (which I didn't think would be possible) and my smell still isn't quite right.

AshLane · 28/12/2021 14:35

My colleague - ill a year ago, still not returned.

Sparkle275 · 28/12/2021 14:35

It took 2 weeks for me. Fingers crossed yours comes back very soon.

littlepeas · 28/12/2021 14:43

It was a slow return over the course of weeks, rather than waking up one day with it fully restored.

dementedma · 28/12/2021 14:45

8 months for teen DS

Sooty1983 · 28/12/2021 14:48

Taste gradually returning day 18. Smell not really back at all. Good luck 🤞

m1shap3 · 28/12/2021 15:11

My friends had it over new year last year. One of them still has no smell, and nothing tastes right

blissfulllife · 28/12/2021 15:19

Back after a couple of weeks

SoOvethis · 28/12/2021 17:08

Myself around 2-3’weeks (had it early so memory a bit blurry) - hubby lost his for a year but it’s totally back now! Should hopefully give anyone who has lost theirs longer term some hope.

KissKissButtCheek · 01/01/2022 12:08

1 year on and still no taste or smell, bloody annoying now!

spagbog5 · 01/01/2022 12:12

A year - sorry Sad

Buzzinwithbez · 01/01/2022 13:44

By day 13 it's 50 percent back.
Get some decent methylated b vitamins.
