Positive lft, inconclusive pcr x2 (CEV)

What could be the reason for inconclusive tests? I feel terrible and I'm in bed with all my glands up fighting something. We've had covid in the house since mid dec so have been locked down except for Xmas eve when I did the shop at 7am and had a neg lft. Pcr was done before and after Xmas (as hoped to host family but didn't). Testing positive on lfts old and new style.

4Not snotty and pretty confident in test swabbing up the nose and throat. No food or drink 30 mins before and have swabbed kids successfully and been observed at the test centre.

I am vaxxed. Az (feb and May) and Moderna (nov).

Why would I not be testing positive on pcr? Especially now as we're essentially on day 22 of staying at home

I would trust your LFT. I think false positive LFT are very rare, they are more likely to show false negatives.

It's a bit of a mystery why your PCR hasn't come through positive, but it might be that whatever that tests is different for your particular body/immune system reaction?

That's a very unscientific reply - hopefully someone else more knowledgeable will be along soon.

Yeah I'm resigned to not see anyone and self isolate until 2 jan.

I think I have read or glanced at something which said Moderna boosted people may have low viral loads but can't find anything if I look again.

I'm CEV and if I have covid I'd like it on my medical record. Im always having to advocate for healthcare and I wonder if I'll get complications or benefit from anti-viral treatment?

Can you register the positive LFT? I think that's a thing. As someone already said, positive anything is fairly reliable. It's the negatives that aren't trustworthy on the LFT.
