My DP was with me all last week, on Saturday he got a positive LFT
Then positive PCR

So I've stayed away since Saturday. I'm negative on LFT and PCR

I'm triple vaxxed

But I just want to be with him to make his and my days easier.

This is his 3rd time with covid, I've had it once prior to vaccine

AIBU??
WWYD?

Stay away as long as he is coping even triple vaxxed you can get sick he might end up trying to look after you

Lemons1571 · 28/12/2021 10:48

I would go if it was my DH and I wasn’t CV.

I wouldn’t go for wider relatives or friends (unless they needed help) or general visits.

TomAllenWife · 28/12/2021 10:53

He would have been infectious last week though and even though we shared a bed and kissed I didn't get it.
He's day 7 today from symptoms

Are you ok about self-isolating if you were to catch it though?

TomAllenWife · 28/12/2021 11:01

Hell yeah Grin

Has he tested negative on a lft?

Nonnymum · 28/12/2021 11:03

If he is day 7 today and had 2 negative flows then it's ok anyway. If not it's not long to wait until 10 days are over. I wouldn't stay with someone who had tested positive.

HesterShaw1 · 28/12/2021 11:03

I'd go if it was my DP. I'm triple vaxxed and I've had Covid.

Neolara · 28/12/2021 11:04

If he's day 7 and testing negative on LF yesterday and today then he doesn't need.to isolate and you can go to see him.

TomAllenWife · 28/12/2021 11:09

In wales it's 10 days

My DH tested positive on Christmas day. We've not isolated from each other, still share a bed, cuddle etc. I've tested negative on twice-daily lateral flows and a PCR. Who knows if I'll get it or not but so far I haven't.

JanglyBeads · 28/12/2021 11:13

The new (English) rules do not state that it's 'all OK' if you test neg on day 6&7, they state that you should still limit close contact with others especially indoors.

queenofkale · 28/12/2021 12:22

Wales has also changed to 7 days - with negative LF on day 6 and 7!

CuttedOutTree · 28/12/2021 12:26

twice-daily lateral flows Wow Shock no wonder there are no testes available in pharmacies if people test 2X daily. Why do you do this?

To be fair, the result can change fast. My LFT at 10am was negative and by 4pm was a clear strong positive.

Can you post a link? I can't find this info. I thought it was still 10 days.
TomAllenWife · 28/12/2021 18:11

I can't find it either, everything I see is 10 days
It's only unvaccinated close contacts that can go out day 7 if LFTs have been consistently negative

Again 'I think' I can't keep up with the changes
