Work in a nursery and haven’t needed to wear a mask at work since it all began. Have done bubbles and extra cleaning etc but basically there is no way to social distance. Hasn’t been any confirmed cases in the nursery.

MilitantFaucet · 28/12/2021 09:19

No I’m a teacher and social distancing isn’t a thing in schools, masks are only advised (not required) in corridors not classrooms (for now).

Icequeen01 · 28/12/2021 09:42

No social distancing or masks - SEN school.

Dontletthemuggglesgetyoudown · 28/12/2021 09:45

Yes I do, full ppe. Work in icu it's not negotiable

SirChenjins · 28/12/2021 09:47

We’re working from home on a rota basis so when we go into work we’re in offices on our own. Hospital rules are that we have to wear them in shared areas and corridors, so we do.

PinkSparklyPussyCat · 28/12/2021 09:48

Masks when away from our desks, Perspex dividers between us. We also have to take our temperature when we first enter the office, although what good that does I don't know - mine was apparently 34 when I was in last week!

didireallysaythat · 28/12/2021 09:54

Masks, empty desks between desks people work at (so rota for being on site), windows open in mtg rooms and LFT before you come in every day.

mightbealittlebitmad · 28/12/2021 10:01

No I work in a pub so masks aren't required and it's impossible to give people their food from 2m away. Staff don't distance either, we just act completely normal.

We've had positive cases but it's not gone through the whole (small) place, staff are off for the time required then they come back. Job done, no drama.

LetsGoFlyAKiteee · 28/12/2021 10:23

@insancerre

I work in a nursery We don’t wear masks or social distance except for when we collect the children from their parents outside Parents have to wear them to come in to collect their children
Same as that
SpringheelJack · 28/12/2021 10:30

98% of people are working from home

Where did you get that statistic? I would have thought all the bin men, shop assistants, healthcare workers, teachers, hospitality workers, posties, etc make up more than 2% of the working population.

middleager · 28/12/2021 10:31

No we don't. It's a small office, everyone on top of everyone. Chairs back to back. No windows open. Education.
Nobody seems to bat an eyelid.

RandomDent · 28/12/2021 10:33

Infant teacher. Masks yes, social distancing no. Quite a few of the children wear them too.

MrsLargeEmbodied · 28/12/2021 10:33

i thought back to back working was advised?

ChrissyPlummer · 28/12/2021 10:34

We work outside so are fortunate to be able to distance easily and have to wear masks in all public and communal staff areas, unless eating.

middleager · 28/12/2021 11:02

@MrsLargeEmbodied

i thought back to back working was advised?
Our chairs touch, back to back, that's how close we are in a tiny room.
middleager · 28/12/2021 11:03

Then there is also somebody face to face, our small desks joined. We are all shoehorned in!

Namechangedforspooky · 28/12/2021 11:07

Frontline NHS here. We’re expected to wear masks at all times while in the building but no longer required to distance
