Has anyone had a negative pcr test then gone on to have to a positive?

Husband tested positive on Ltf and pcr. He has had symptoms for 3 days
We have not isolated at all from each other

I’ve had night sweats , fatigue & low level headache but no cough. Feel very tired & nauseous

Is it possible that my pcr could be false negative and I should test again? I know ltf are not the most reliable but not heard this about pcr etc

Yes mine came back as inconclusive and then it came back positive two days later- my symptoms were full blown when I tested the second time.

Yes. Dd tested positive on LFT on a Friday both went for pcr on the Friday hers was
Positive as expected mine was negative as was my LFT on the same date however the day after I was positive on LFT and went on to have positive pcr

Yes, DD1 had symptoms for over a week, 2 negative PCRs and 4 negative LFTs before finally getting a positive. 8 days after her brother, and 4 days after the rest of the household. Most peculiar, but there we are.

I had this dilemma. Dp caught covid. A few days later I had symptoms - coughs, aches and shivers and all my tests both pcr and lft were negative. I tested positive as these symptoms were subsiding and did develop some new but mild symptoms. I can only assume I had two viruses back to back.

With Ds he had symptoms too and a negative pcr one day with symptoms then was positive two days later. I believe we tested him too soon and it wasn't enough to detect yet b

Yes. My first PCR on my first day of symptoms was negative. I tested positive on both LFT and PCR 2 days later.

Yes.

Same here- tested negative the day after symptoms started. Then had a positive lateral flow the following day so went back for another PCR- then it came back positive. I think I tested too early the first time around and it didn’t pick up the virus…
