Hi,

Just on here to vent (I think) and to see if others have experienced similar. I had my booster last Sunday so 8 days ago (3 Pzfiers now). Ever since I haven’t felt right at all. I never got the bad side effects fever etc and was relatively ok. I have a big bruise that hasn’t got any better around the vaccination site, easily bigger than a £2 coin, which is causing my arm to ache still and it’s exactly the same colour as when it first appeared 8 days ago. On top of that today I am so lethargic and have been on and off napping all day. My back, ribs and neck are so stiff I feel like I’ve been hit by a bus, I keep getting intermittent headaches, which I rarely get. Honestly I’m miserable, it’s been like this for the past 8 days. I’m not Ill as such just so uncomfortable. I have developed health anxiety since the pandemic and this honestly isn’t helping!

I had Pfizer 10 days ago and still not feeling right. Not sure if it's the jab mixed in with peri-menopause symptoms but I'm incredibly tired and my joints really ache. Have had a headache most days and also feeling nauseous which is very unusual for me.

I'm hoping it's jab related rather than anything else to worry about. Am also increasingly struggling with anxiety but it's now impossible to see the GP due to Covid.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

Had mine 10 days ago and the most worrying side effect has been an increase in my resting heart rate (about 9bpm higher than the previous weeks) and a tight chest. I've also been more tired than usual. I actually considered calling 111 in case it's myocarditis related but am feeling a lot better today so haven't called. Heart rate coming back done a bit too.

I preferred the side effects from my first two jabs, those were more flu like but over in 48 hours.

I must say I also had mine on Sunday 19th and felt crap over Xmas. So tired yet poor quality of sleep, taking 3 hours to drop off. Aching joints and lower back, nagging headache-had to take Ibu.
I am also peri menopause.

BringOnTheOtherWorlders · 28/12/2021 01:43

Yes, I suffered for a couple of weeks after Pfizer #2 - fatigue, head ache, felt blah, had one episode of spotting. (I'm post menopause.)
I am now Day 10 after the booster, Pfizer #3, and having the same issues, minus the spotting so far. Just so tired. Body hurts.

Both times I had fever on Day 2, also.

No issues with Pfizer #1.

These side effects sound worse than the symptoms most get from omicron after being double jabbed - makes you wonder whether the 'booster' is that helpful?

Especially as the current vaccines still target the original Alpha? variant.

Hope you feel better soon!

BooksAndGin · 28/12/2021 09:07

Don't why people had the booster. Omicron would give you less symptoms than the booster.

Makes you wonder if each jab is damaging your body more and more. People aren't meant to have vaccines every 4 months.

Blubells · 28/12/2021 09:20

Omicron would give you less symptoms than the booster.

It might also give you longer lasting immunity, including T cells? Something the booster doesn't as it still targets the original strain

I'd love to see studies on this.

Nerdygirl · 28/12/2021 09:25

Great post @Blubells. I don’t understand why people are rushing for a booster that isn’t designed for omicron especially when omicron is proven to be mild . It lack all rational thinking

Herani · 28/12/2021 09:34

I was poorly/ridiculously foggy-headed for 10-14days with my first two AZ jabs. Worried about getting the Pfizer jab as didn’t want to be off work ill again - much milder and back to normal in 3 days.

Still feeling rubbish! It’s not like I’m Ill which I’m finding more frustrating but just not myself. heart rate isn’t quite 100 but sitting at the high 80/90’s which seems pretty high for a 34 year old but never really monitored it before. Considering ringing the drs but doubt they will do anything. Managed to get out the house today and did a 10k walk so that’s sad one thing. 100% this is my last one for a while I can’t deal with the mental anxiety I’ve experienced since having it
