My son had covid in November so probably not omicron but he had headache, fever & vomiting with it. They were pretty much his only symptoms.

Passthecake30 · 27/12/2021 17:35

Dh and I have it atm, dh has felt nauseous

gamerchick · 27/12/2021 17:49

I hear an upset stomach can be a main symptom of that varient.

MrsWarleggan · 27/12/2021 17:54

Dds friend ONLY had vomiting with Omicron. Its a weird one.

Bobholll · 27/12/2021 19:29

Yes. Loads of friends in London have been vomiting with it over the last couple weeks. Plus my cousin & her bf and my nephew.

It seems a more common symptom oddly..

TheFutureIs · 27/12/2021 19:31

I couldn't keep food down for 2 days

Lemons1571 · 27/12/2021 19:33

Yep, me. Waves of nausea, similar to morning sickness or travel sickness. Worse when I have an empty stomach. No actual vomiting though.
Caught omicron in London 8 days ago.

Donatella · 27/12/2021 20:40

A friend said yesterday that she thought she had caught a stomach bug from Christmas Dinner but tested positive today...

Donatella · 27/12/2021 20:41

Sorry I mean food poisoning from the food, not a bug, obviously

Lifeboats2022 · 27/12/2021 21:21

I've felt very sick on and off but no idea if it's omicron...
As a pp said it's been feeling like motion sickness/ morning sickness.

Bizawit · 27/12/2021 21:25

I had a night of intense vomiting as did my DD. Don’t know if we had delta or omicron.

DopesickSis · 27/12/2021 21:27

I have been horribly nauseous and have had very upset stomach and stomach pain for 3 days.

Those symptoms have passed today , now have sore throat and headaches on and off today.

LFT test positive Boxing Day & today. PCR sent off in the post today now awaiting result.

Sweetpeasaremadeforbees · 27/12/2021 21:29

I had horrible nausea with covid but it was back in September and was therefore presumably Delta.

PurpleCushions · 27/12/2021 21:39

I've had a positive lat flow yesterday and awaiting pcr results but also had quite bad nausea. Seems to have passed now thankfully.

Itonlytakesonetree · 27/12/2021 21:45

Totally agree re motion/morning sickness feeling, that's exactly how I would describe it. Ate today for the first time since Christmas Eve and threw it up.

My dd was watching something on YouTube with a spinning and moving about camera. That nearly made me hurl on its own!
Lifeboats2022 · 27/12/2021 21:51

Fwiw, my worst nausea was days 7&8.

gulliblestravels · 27/12/2021 22:09

Agree with the travel sickness thing. Was a thread on here yesterday that recommended Buccastem. I bought but haven’t tried as it is contraindicated with blood pressure meds.

Shuffleuplove · 28/12/2021 08:40

Yes!!! I got car sick and threw up from the passenger door. Tested positive 3 days later.

Crapslattern · 28/12/2021 09:01

A friend thought he had noro earlier in the year. D&V was grim - turned out to be covid. Must've been Delta.

Quite a few kids had gastro symptoms with Delta too I think.

Autumnalblooms · 28/12/2021 11:11

I tested positived end last week absolutely sure with omicron and DH and one of teen DC'S .I have had no appetite at all since my symptoms started .Couldn't manage my Christmas lunch the smell made me feel so sick .I have lost weight through it because I just can't face food ,small nibbles that is about it .My DC are also off their food and feels sick whilst DH eating normally .

Autumnalblooms · 28/12/2021 11:12

I actually did say it was like morning sickness it was utterly vile while it lasted .

Toomanyminifigs · 28/12/2021 11:54

I started a thread about this a couple of days ago. I've had nausea for over three weeks now since testing positive. It is starting to fade now but I've still no appetite. On the plus side I can now get into my size 12 jeans again!

It is very like constant morning sickness. I can still only eat beige food like toast and salted crisps. It is absolutely miserable.

Joystir59 · 28/12/2021 11:55

A component of COVID is a high temperature and it's quite common for a raised temperature to make you nauseous

PurpleCushions · 28/12/2021 12:33

I definitely think it was the temperature making me feel sick. Once I got that under control the sickness started to ease off.
