Then they might want to make sure they can get hold of LFTs.

All of the pharmacies around here (London, so lots of them) have been out of stock for over a week.

None of the boxes ordered online have turned up and no tracking info has been sent by Royal Mail.

We’ve been scrabbling around getting boxes from friends but how many people are going to spend endless days trying to find boxes of LFTs? .

I tried to collect or order some too. Giving them out one box at a time is annoying.

These will probably arrive on Wednesday when postal deliveries start up again. The website will say if there aren't any in stock and not allow you to order them.

Presumably there's been a lot more demand than expected, they can't magic them out of thin air. Not just in the U.K., there will be increased demand in many countries, I'd guess the Chinese may be gearing up testing capacity if they're hoping to contain omicron.

The more annoying thing is we have tons spare and there is nowhere to return them to for others to use! (Schools gave out far more than needed)

Not helpful to have an email from test and trace telling me I should have the tests by now and to use the non existent tracking number.

We only tested because we were being diligent and unselfish (primary age dd tested positive with no symptoms). If we couldn’t get hold of LFTs we probably wouldn’t have tested. Lots will be in that position.

On Friday I went to the chemist the girl behind the counter asked if I wanted a couple of boxes which I accepted.
Coming out of Asda there was a table with LFT's. On the Main Street, they were also handing them out.
Come to Glasgow.

I haven't been able to order any online and the few pharmacies that are open near me have run out.

It is frustrating.

I am north east. Not been able to get hold of any LFTs from a pharmacy. Tried multiple places today to be told Wednesday at the earliest. Ordered some online but they obviously haven't turned up with it been Christmas. I have the old style tests, throat and nose but I don't think they are reliable at all

It's bad isn't it. And the postal PCR are taking ages to come back now. I guess it's coz more people are testing and the lab people need a break too!

There is multiple posts on here who have tested once positively on a lateral flow so they keep trying, one at moment one person 6 in 4 days and then so on and so on.

People are totally overusing them so there will be shortages.

Sorry the above was negative but still a waste

It is difficult. I had the dreaded call yesterday to say I was a close contact, so now I need to test daily. I do have a few tests but not enough. I have managed to place an order online this morning (after several attempts) but whether they'll arrive before the others run out, who knows.
