No swabs in last LFT pack - alternatives?

Just opened our last pack of LFTs to find that the swabs are missing. Can I use anything as an alternative or do I need to go out on a hunt to find a new pack? We have plans for tomorrow which will not happen if we do not test.

There was a thread on here about using cotton buds. I don’t think you’ll get an official answer but a cotton bud is likely to be fine I think, albeit it is a bit fatter.

Yes, I had a pack with no buffer solution a few mo the ago which I returned to work. Wish I’d kept it as it had swabs

OK, cotton buds. I have some but they’ve been open for ages. I can find some new ones today. Thank you.

We keep getting random bits missing in our packs too.
