AZ for first two, pfizer for booster.........side effects?

I had my booster at noon on Thursday (pfizer after 2 AZ) I had a bit of a sore arm Thursday night but otherwise fine, then last night I was burning up, shivers etc for a few hours. Fine now.
Does this fit how others have been or should I be worried?

I only had the sore arm and no other effects

grafittiartist · 25/12/2021 13:01

Same as me.
AZ were terrible! But Pfizer was great. No effects (except for feeling it in the arm) at all. in fact- felt great afterwards.

eurochick · 25/12/2021 13:02

I was pleasantly surprised. I felt godawful after my first AZ and tend to react strongly to most drugs but I just had a sore arm with my Pfizer booster.

Daisy4569 · 25/12/2021 13:04

Not the same combination but my partner had two Pfizer’s and was fine but had the moderna booster and had all of the symptoms you described

Beamur · 25/12/2021 13:04

I had sore arm, felt a bit off for about 48 hours and a headache for several days which seems to finally be lifting today!

user1469770863 · 25/12/2021 13:05

sore arm for a day, nothing else

Stretchandsnap · 25/12/2021 13:07

I felt fine with my 2 AZ jabs but I had a reaction to the Pfizer one - my arm was sore for about 4 days, massive lump at the injection site, sore shoulder and wrist joint and felt very tired and shivery

INeedNewShoes · 25/12/2021 13:07

I was bad after the AZ and completely fine after the pfizer.

Sorry you're suffering OP. I'm afraid I'd suggest a PCR.

Similar to my DH. Not unusual.

Sore arm and swollen lymph nodes in that armpit 24 - 48 hours after

Imabitbusyatthemoment · 25/12/2021 13:12

I had the same combination with the Pfizer booster on Wednesday. My arm has been really painful since, with a very swollen armpit, still no improvement.
I also felt generally rough and had an incredibly painful right side of the abdomen and back yesterday, it’s a bit better today, but still getting the occasional pain in it.
I am doing back-to-back paracetamol and ibuprofen which is keeping the worst at bay.
Hope you feel better soon. It’s shit feeing bad at Christmas.

BerriesAndPineCones · 25/12/2021 13:20

1st AZ felt ill for 24 hours but lemsips helped. 2nd - no symptoms
Pfizer - felt tired and achey for an evening. Paracetamol helped

Quornflakegirl · 25/12/2021 13:37

Same combination as me. Had mine at 2:30 on Wednesday and 2 days later I started with a lump on my arm that is now apple sized but only slightly tender. Also exhausted yesterday and slept for 4 hours in the afternoon and felt I was being raised from the dead when dh woke me at 5pm.

IcedAbstinente · 25/12/2021 13:38

DH and Dparents all had 2 AZ then Pfizer booster. DH had no side effects at all. Dparents are really tired today (they had it yesterday).

SomethingOnce · 25/12/2021 14:31

Same here, OP, but also a cracking headache. After that, all good.

Brendabigbaps · 25/12/2021 14:35

Had the same jabs as you, no issues apart from a sore arm the next day

Nyfluff · 25/12/2021 14:35

Why would you be worried? It sounds like a normal vaccine reaction, on the milder side. I don't think it's likely to get much worse.

I had to go to A&E with side effects but I wouldn't be worried with the common typical reactions as that's what's meant to happen.

Sammilouwho · 25/12/2021 14:45

2x AZ and then Pfizer for me and I was fine, just a sore arm.
Husband had moderna for booster and he has been up all night with a temperature, chills, feeling fluey, headache. He's slowly getting better during the course of the day.
I've only really heard of any reactions with moderna actually which is surprising.

StopGo · 25/12/2021 14:54

DCs and I all had AZ then Pfizer booster. We all had very sore injection sites with the booster but fortunately nothing else.

Theunamedcat · 25/12/2021 14:55

Covid was my side effect apparently

I had my booster Thursday tested positive on a lateral flow Friday I just feel a bit snotty which fits in with having a cold for a month

Theunamedcat · 25/12/2021 14:56

And a sore arm but I've had that with all of them tbh

MerryChristmas21 · 25/12/2021 14:59

I had AZ/AZ then Pfizer

No side effects with any of them, luckily.

I don't think you should worry though, your body is busy building up your defences.

Hope you feel better soon!!

Sh05 · 25/12/2021 15:00

I had my booster yesterday, first two were astra zeneca, feeling a little feverish now but otherwise fine. I was the same with the first two as well.

DramaAlpaca · 25/12/2021 15:13

I had Moderna for the first two. Felt tired after the first and unwell for twelve hours after the second. Had the Pfizer booster and nothing other than a sore arm.

rainrainraincamedowndowndown · 25/12/2021 15:30

I had no side effects from both AZ and Pfizer, except for sore arms.
