I live in scotland and my mum is back home in ireland.
Im currently on day 7 of isolation. Feeling well, no symptoms and my lateral flows are getting fainter so im hoping they are negative in the next day or two.
I was supposed to fly home tomorrow for christmas but cant as im in isolation. Plus if i tested on an antigen test now, id be positive and unable to fly. ( im double-jabbed)
My plan was to keep testing until my LFTs were negative and then book a flight and a "departure antigen test" and hope that it would stay negative.
OR, Catch a ferry back to ireland. Stena line says that no testing or quarantining would apply on the cairnryan-belfast route. Would i be taking a chance by doing this without tests and driving down into the republic? Stena line wont be checking any paperwork apart from my booking form
I really need to see my mother. Luckily i have a great sister who is back home and looking after things but i want to help.
