Shortness of breath

Day 8 of covid and yesterday and today I have felt very short of breath. This is a horrible and constant feeling, and I am spending 90% of my time on the sofa as any activity makes me feel awful. Is this normal or should I be seeking medical help?

Ughhh - sorry to hear you feel so bad. I think you should consult with your GP. I know in some cases they suggest you get an oximeter to monitor oxygen levels so they can identify people who are in danger. All best wishes.

Please get an oximeter, when my husband had Covid in the summer, his low oxygen levels were what persuaded him to seek further medical attention, he was in hospital for a week, it could have been far worse if he hadn't gone in when he did.

I wouldn't wait for an oximeter to arrive now. Just call 111 if you are that breathless.
