Booster yesterday, feel like death warmed up

Is this normal? Had Pfizer #1 and #2 with nothing really in the way of side effects. Booster was also Pfizer. Achy, shivery, fatigued. Felt like this with flu jab last year tho.

Migrane after 24 hours lasting abiut 2 or 3 days and sore arm. Maxing out on paracetamols is recommended.

sicknote26 · 22/12/2021 00:14

I also had the Pfizer 1 and 2 and I felt fine, I had the booster and wasn't right for about a week. Really bad flu like symptoms. The aching all over was the worst.

Wallabyone · 22/12/2021 00:14

Urgh,
I'm the same. Had mine yesterday and my joints are achy, my throat is a bit sore and I have a pounding headache. I think it's the worst so far (also 3 x Pfizer).

FinallyFluid · 22/12/2021 00:19

Better than the real thing.

TheUsualChaos · 22/12/2021 00:22

I felt awful less than 24 hours after mine. Had Pfizer for first two and my booster was Moderna. I had chills and aches in the night and woke up next day with a fever and weak as a kitten. Felt ok to work again the next day.

sunflowerroses · 22/12/2021 00:25

I was the same after my third Pfizer. Day after I felt worse and worse as it went on but felt a bit better each day. Bad headache for 3 days.

Paddingtonthebear · 22/12/2021 00:27

Had Pfizer booster on Sunday (after 2 x AZ and 1 x Covid). Had booster at 12pm, all fine until bed then hot and cold flushes most of the month. Woke up the next day with a very painful arm, achy legs and hardcore glute pain, walking was an effort! Tired and ropey all day with a little bit of nausea. Went to bed, woke up feeling absolutely fine again the next day!

Howmanysleepsnow · 22/12/2021 00:28

I had mine the morning before a night shift. It was hell. I wish I’d had it on a day I could’ve slept through the effects!

Paddingtonthebear · 22/12/2021 00:28

Most of the night not month!

Discustard · 22/12/2021 00:42

Been shitting it that I have Covid (had a massive night out 2 weeks ago... think I'd know by now though; negative lft yesterday). "Glad" to hear it's a thing. Other half also felt awful after his, but he was the same with all 3... sickly boy

If it’s any consolation, most of the SE are your body noticing the virus and mounting an attack (part of which is forming antibodies)

scrivette · 22/12/2021 00:46

I had mine on Sunday and all day Monday I felt awful, headache, sore throat, aching and exhausted. Luckily today I am feeling better and just have a sore throat.
I didn't react with the first two so it was a bit of a surprise.
Hope you are feeling better soon.

WtfHuh1122 · 22/12/2021 01:47

I know someone who felt like this after the booster and ended up testing positive for covid. They seemingly got their booster with an active pre-symptomatic covid infection. It might be better for you to do a pcr if you're feeling very rough and it doesn't settle quickly

Worriesandwobbles · 22/12/2021 02:13

Am awake scrolling through mumsnet after just throwing up since booster this morning ! Feel rough but riding it out hoping 12 hrs and it's all forgotten. Feel freezing and shivery. Wasn't sick with the others (2× A.Z this one phizer)

Redact · 22/12/2021 06:32

I felt awful after the booster, was ok initially then couple of days later not great. I had AZ for the first 2 then BioNTech for the booster. I also felt awful after my first vaccine. The second one was ok.

StruggleStreet · 22/12/2021 06:36

Not to worry you but my DH had a ‘bad reaction’ to his booster. He felt awful for the next few days, on day 3 he decided to get a PCR and it was positive. Evidently he contracted it just before he had the booster.

Dottybackorcid · 22/12/2021 06:39

DH and I had our boosters last week at same time both phizer, he was just like op for 3 days, I just was tired with slightly sore arm for one day.

It affects us all different. Won't stop us having more though.

sheroku · 22/12/2021 06:40

I was also fine after Pfizer 1 and 2 but felt crap after number 3. It kicked in the day after the jab but it lasted less than 24 hours for me. Hopefully you'll be fine tomorrow.

Treaclepie19 · 22/12/2021 07:44

I've had 3 Pfizer. First I had just an achey arm. Second I felt flues and had to go to bed. 3rd I feel fluey and had to go back to bed. It's lasting longer than last time though.

Discustard · 22/12/2021 12:40

Feel much better today. Phew. Have to wonder if half of the dodgy feeling was the 4 hour nap I took after work yesterday because I was so tired. I don't do well with naps, they make me bog eyed. Confused Probably not Covid, but will LFT again Friday before going away for Xmas. Thanks everyone!

Pfizer booster this morning. Already feeling chilly.

alloalloallo · 22/12/2021 13:03

I had my booster (Pfizer) on Saturday morning and felt like complete shite for the entire weekend.

I had a hair dressers appointment Saturday afternoon and mid-appointment a huge wall of tiredness just hit me like a bus then had chills, aches, just felt flu-y. Started to feel better Monday night and felt fine again when I got up yesterday morning

Guacamole001 · 22/12/2021 13:12

We must be the one in ten who get the most common side effects lol.

itsgettingwierd · 22/12/2021 13:21

Ds had his booster Sunday. Also pfeizer which he had for first 2.

Arm very sore Monday but he's a swimmer so uses it rather a lot.

Trained as usual Monday am/pm. Went training Tuesday am but felt tired. Very dog body tired all day Tuesday so I told him before went to evening training to give it a miss. I didn't think he'd manage 3 hours that evening. Half hour later he was out cold on his bedroom floor for 2 hours. Then a few hours later did another 11 hours in bed!

Seems much better today!

jay55 · 22/12/2021 13:57

I didn't wake up til 2pm the day after. But didn't feel tough.
