What if it does turn out to be a low threat?

And the media have scared us all senseless and drilled into us all that there will be a lockdown. Will they suddenly do a U turn or what?

Why are you getting scared by the media? What media are you consuming? Maybe you need to take a look at that.

It will be attributed to the boosters and nobody at SAGE will be held to account for being so wildly inaccurate and for leaking scaremongering information to the press

This isn't as ridiculous an analogy as it might seem because the dog has an owner that should be making sure their animal is under control, but they (as is the way with most dog owners) have decided not to bother and just lie and make excuses.

This it is not just about covid /mental health etc SO many ppl suffering and it is like having a cold ..

Completely agree -there is absolutely no downside to them for their dooming and glooming -they’ll keep their cushy public sector salaries and pensions unlike all the businesses going to the wall.

It will be a relief, and hopefully will kill off the idea that the likes of Independent Sage should be wheeled out for tv interviews in future. But if a more sinister variant does come along in future they’ll have fucked it because people won’t take it as seriously. That’s the danger of ramping up the fear and anxiety the way the media have been.
