Heard this a lot on here around 6 months ago. The vaccines were the way out apparently, we just had to wait until everyone who wanted a jab had one, then we were free. This week is depressing beyond words.

Anyone who said this care to comment now?

@MaxNormal Here's just one report from one hospital- 80% of patients unvaccinated

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-cambridgeshire-59699891

Lots of similar reports from people working on the front line and who would know, even if the official data from the past week or so hasn't caught up yet.

I think it's also just pretty obvious that someone vaccinated is less likely to get seriously ill than someone who isn't, that's why we (thankfully) don't have bodies piling up in the streets like we did at the start of the pandemic.

@Lifeisnteasy

No, I want people who persuaded others to reluctantly give up their summer pleasures because ‘we’re nearly there’ to now address the fact we have actually gone backwards.
Were you persuaded to give up your summer pleasures by a random on the internet?

Summer was normal wasn't it?
