What do people predict for household mixing indoors on nye?

Just wanting to prepare myself, really! Are planning to mix two households for the day and night (staying at their house). Do you reckon it’ll be off? Or ok to go ahead? (England)

Off!

LynxGiftsetAndSocks · 21/12/2021 13:29

Oh wait, is it cheese and wine you are having? That MIGHT be ok

CrumpledCrumpet · 21/12/2021 13:30

Purely a guess but I think preventing two households mixing in a private house is highly unlikely.

Vapeyvapevape · 21/12/2021 13:32

Who knows ?

Wear a suit/work clothes and do what you want

Lazypuppy · 21/12/2021 13:37

We're carrying on with our plans with friends regardless.

SleighbellsZ · 21/12/2021 13:38

Say it's a business meeting on your invites and your good to go!

Siameasy · 21/12/2021 13:38

I reckon it’ll be fine

Topseyt · 21/12/2021 13:39

Just do it if you want to. Don't wait to be told by Bojo.

cherryonthecakes · 21/12/2021 13:39

Just do it imo

TeaTray · 21/12/2021 13:40

I’m so concerned for hospitality - restaurants, bars, hotels, for whom NYE is probably the most important night of the year. Surely they won’t take that away from them??

Spacecadetagain · 21/12/2021 13:40

Pretty sure “business meetings” are fine 😂

On a serious note - no idea . I’m not a social butterfly and had no plans other than a night away in a self catering cottage while the DCs go gif their fathers for NY , hoping it can still happen restrictions permitting and as long as no one else in the house tests positive (positive dd currently isolating )

Vargas · 21/12/2021 13:42

Mixing two households, I wouldn't think twice about it, no matter what Bojo and his rule-breaking ilk decide.

Party for 50 friends, I might postpone that one... Grin

Thatsplentyjack · 21/12/2021 13:45

I couldn't care less. If people are willing to come, I will have them.

SquigglePigs · 21/12/2021 13:45

Sadly I'm expecting everything to be cancelled - no hospitality, no household mixing indoors. I'm hoping for something more balanced (2 households or something like that) but I'm worried it's a massive, in denial, hope.

SagittariusDwarf · 21/12/2021 14:36

Just do it anyway.
