Side effects of booster 2-3 days later?

I had the booster on Friday evening. Saturday and Sunday I felt a bit nauseous but nothing major. Today I woke up feeling sick and had a sore throat. As the day has gone on I've felt more sick (I've not eaten for 12 hours and that was only toast) I've had one episode of loose bowels, I've got headache, I'm dripping sweat then I'm cold, my neck and eyes hurt.
Could this be from the jab? Negative LFT? Does it sounds like norovirus?

@Boiledeggandtoast that's exactly how I feel and it started yesterday which was the third day. I haven't eaten since yesterday morning as I can't face food. I had both the other jabs while I was pregnant and felt fine. I feel achy all over, sore throat, headache and feel very sick x

@goodlucksoonplease

Do you think it sounds like Norovirus?
It could be. It could be side effects. It also sounds like omicron.

Apparently its causing sicknes and diarrhea in some people.

Given the number of people I know who have done lft that are negative but have positive pcrs, you should be doing a pcr.

@SpookyScarySkeletons

FGS its side effects from the booster. Amazed at all these people suggesting it's covid when symptoms are a sore throat and feeling sick.
What makes you certain of this? The Zoe app lists all these as Covid symptoms.
Pinkyxx · 21/12/2021 15:22

I've read the side effects can be worse if you inadvertently have Covid at the time of being boosted, or catch it shortly thereafter. I'd get a PCR OP :-( an LFT doesn't always pick it up at the early stages if I recall right.

I've had enlarged glands which have given a sort of sore throat since I had mine (multiple PCRs as also travelling). That was a week ago, and I felt really ropy with aches etc for 2 days after. My glands and throat always go up when I'm having an immune reaction though so sort of normal.

One of my colleagues was awful for a week- fever, bad stomach and it had some psychological effects as well. So it can totally do a number on you.

@WiseUpJanetWeiss but that's the symptoms of many many viral illnesses.

Plus I had covid 5 weeks ago. I am hoping (maybe unwisely) that joy or jabbed, followed by covid infection, followed by booster should be protection enough.

Sorry that should say "double jabbed"

But we all know by now, surely, that the vaccines (albeit very good) don't give 100% protection, especially for Omicron. OP had been boosted only for 3 days (possibly less) before her symptoms started. So it's quite possible she has Covid. The mildness of her symptoms could be as a result of her vaccines. The only way to tell is to get a PCR test.

I understand the reluctance given the havoc a positive result causes, but it's the only sensible and responsible thing to do, unless she's planning to isolate for another 7 days anyway.

How are you feeling today OP?

BoxingDayHam · 22/12/2021 21:59

I had mine sat and felt a bit off until Tuesday when I felt like it really kicked in. I'm so achy and tired. Is this normal? I had 2 x pfizer then moderna was my booster. I got so worried I've taken lfts to check.
