Sorry for the dumb question, it’s late and I’m somewhere the other side of tired.

DS15 has just woken me up to show me a positive lft. He’s home until January anyway, does he need a pcr test?

He's supposed to take a PCR to confirm

Weaselstoatferret · 20/12/2021 22:09

Yes you should get him tested to confirm but also so it is on his medical record incase he needs any treatment. It also helps researchers monitor cases to increase our knowledge on it.

Aurorie11 · 20/12/2021 22:10

Yes, could be needed for covid pass and also pcrs identify the strain

SockFluffInTheBath · 20/12/2021 22:12

Ok thank you all, my brain is struggling to compute right now so you’ve helped immensely Flowers I’ll look at booking it now.

We also have to tell the school even if they test positive over the holidays

dementedpixie · 20/12/2021 22:14

And depending on where you are in the UK you may need a PCR too and may or may not need to isolate as well as him

Wilkolampshade · 20/12/2021 22:15

Yep OP, it's a pain I know but it gets this thing logged and may be relevant after. Hope he feels better and you avoid it. X

I’ve booked at the local walk in centre for first thing tomorrow. I was wondering about saving resources, I didn’t think about common sense things like tracking etc. Going back to sleep now, thanks again.
